Kimchi, sauerkraut and fermented drinks are having a resurgence, and when you look at the health benefits they offer, it comes as no surprise. Fermented foods and drinks are full of probiotics, rich in digestive enzymes and abundant in minerals and vitamins.
This workshop is an experiential introduction to fermenting aimed at beginners who would like to culture their own vegetables.
What to expect on the night;
The workshop is a small and improvised space with opportunity to ask questions.
Together we will make a classic sauerkraut and a kimchi for you to ferment at home.
You will gain an understanding of ways to enjoy fermented foods in your cooking and learn about the health benefits of including fermented food into your diet.
There will be a platter of different ferments to taste to inspire your own experimentation.
